Eight Arvest Bank branches in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley will join with Shred-It on Saturday, October 20 to host a free shredding day that will also benefit Arvest’s 1 Million Meals initiative.

“The Shred Days we host are very popular and we often have people coming into the banks to ask when the next one will be,” said Christy Morris, Marketing Officer of Arvest Bank, Benton County.

In Northwest Arkansas, Shred-It trucks will be parked at six locations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those branches are:

  • Bella Vista – 403 Town Center
  • Fayetteville – 1947 College Avenue
  • Prairie Grove – 102 E. Buchanan
  • Rogers – 2200 W. Pleasant Grove Road
  • Siloam springs – 2730 Hwy 412 East
  • Springdale – 2012 S. Pleasant Avenue

In Fort Smith, two locations will host one truck at separate times.

  • 5000 Rogers Avenue – from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon
  • 11808 Hwy 71 South – from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

In lieu of free paper shredding, donations to 1 Million Meals will be accepted at all the locations.

Materials to be shredded must be removed from binders but can retain staples, paper clips or manila folders. Binders, cardboard, plastics, hard drives, computer discs and floppies will not be accepted. There is a 5-box limit per client.

“We are happy to provide this service to the members of our communities. And, by accepting donations to 1 Million Meals, it is another opportunity for members of each community we serve to give back where they live, because all of the food and funds raised in the community stays there,” Morris said.
