Arvest Bank is celebrating the grand opening of its newest branch located at 3184 E. Sunshine in Springfield by featuring nearby elementary schools over the next three weeks. Read on to learn about this week's featured school and how you can play a part in raising money for that school and be entered to win a new iPad by doing so.

This week’s featured school is Pershing Elementary.  Led by Principal Dr. Natalie Cauldwell, Pershing Elementary has a diverse enrollment of 158 students. Their mission statement is to provide instructional strategies to improve the academic achievement of the students in a caring environment with emphasis on communication arts and mathematics. Dr. Cauldwell stated “Pershing has established a reputation for academic excellence. We promise each year to be an exciting one as we focus on our mission to increase student achievement.” Pershing’s expectation of its students is simple…academic excellence!  Pershing strives to become a school where high standards of learning are expected. This allows students to become successful, contributive, productive citizens.

When you go into the branch to register to win a new iPad you can choose Pershing (or one of the two other schools being highlighted in the upcoming weeks) and Arvest Bank will donate a dollar to the school of your choice.
